More about Apple’s iPad
Jan 28th

Yesterday was the release day for the iPad as i presented, so, after a day, it seams people divided in two big categories, the first one considers it “the iFail” and totally rejects the idea of buying this product in the near future, the second category users tend to think that the iPad is just the start of a new generation for mobile computing and Internet access, and it’s normal for the first device to be limited in features.
I don’t know about limitations and first generation, but the lack of Flash support is kind of a setback, remember the good days when the iPhone was released and it was strange for such a “futuristic” device to lack support for one of the most important technologies that had improved the Internet so much in the last years, Adobe said that it’s up to Apple, they are the ones responsible for blocking and limiting the web experience on the iPhone. Introducing the Apple iPad
Jan 28th

The day is here, Apple just announced the tablet device, the name is “iPad” and the idea is to have a tablet device, easy to use, slim, fast, that will be somewhere between the macbook and the mobile iPhone/iPod touch.
Some info about the device:
Apple Tablet to have WiFi, 3G and 10″ display
Jan 26th

There is one more day until Apple will reveal “the latest creation”, as the invitation to the event say. So, the rumors regarding this device are almost everywhere, some are possible, but other people like to dream a lot, i like it sometimes too but not regarding products 1 day away.
A trusted source, the New York Times, informed that “It will run all the applications of the iPhone and iPod Touch, have a persistent wireless connection over 3G cell phone networks and Wi-Fi, and will be built with a 10-inch color display, allowing newspapers, magazines and book publishers to deliver their products with an eye to the design that had grabbed readers in print.”
As i said above, the rumors and “possible picture leaks” are everywhere, but two pictures got the media’s attention, two competitors in the “best mock-up” or true pictures of the real device ? You decide. More >
The Wallpaper | 25 january 2010
Jan 25th

I searched for some interesting images to use as wallpaper for long time now, it’s hard to find high quality/high definition images, and the ones available are almost all the time under copyright and unavailable to download.
I propose to post the wallpapers i found and use for my personal computers here, and i will start with this one:
“Grosverner Arch” by Philippe Clairo
December 13th, 2009
Located in South Utah, this geologic wonder is only accessible through a dirt road called Cottonwood Rd. I was alone when I took this photo, no other tourists around and it was very peaceful, with the sound of the wind and birds only.

Fix for problems with latest nVidia 196.21 drivers
Jan 24th

nVidia just released the latest drivers for they’re video cards, the 196.21 version. But despite the waiting, i find this drivers problematic, and not only personal problems, but a simple Google search reveals all the issues people had installing (if installation was possible). I was not able to install them due to a problem with the physX installer that starts in -silent mode, after 2 days of searching on the web, i found the explication, that physX installer is separate from the main driver installer ,and runs in -silent mode with the main setup, but if the computer has a “strange” location setting (mine is set to Romania) the drivers fail to install, eventually failing the whole nVidia pack to install (you end up with no nVidia panel in Windows Control panel). Apple Tablet, iPhone OS 4.0, and more…
Jan 23rd

As the first month of 2010 is almost over, we are getting closer to january 27th when Apple will unveil they’re materialization of the “tablet computing” idea and show us the iPhone/iPod Touch 4.0 software major update.
The whole web is filled with questions and opinions about the tablet and multitasking iphone OS.
It remains a mystery until the event if the new tablet will use the iPhone OS (or something similar) or run the full OS X operating system. In my opinion i would prefer a full OS X device, not that the iPhone itself is not cool enough, but it’s just a down-scaled OS compared to the full Snow Leopard. More >

A new kind of computer units are starting to pop up now and then and eventually will replace the mobile sector laptops have today. HP is one of the leading companies in technological advances and had been for the last couple of years or so.
The new device is a small tabled pc “slate device” and Microsoft and HP announced it at this year’s CES, and yes, it runs Windows 7 with aero, neat toy (damn thing, i’m curious about what Apple has to offer with their new slate device that will supposedly be announced on 27 january this year) … what more to say, i’ll let the pictures say the rest.
