First iPhone/iPod IM apps to support push notifications

Not long ago I was talking about the new iPhone 3.0 software and the benefits of upgrading to it. Sure, with new features comes more battery hunger and slower overall usage ,but keep in mind, IPhone 3.0 was developed with the new iPhone 3GS hardware in mind, not the old 3G one. As some of you know , I already restored 3 times and managed to lock the whole software to snail-speed; but that’s for another time.

Everybody uses instant message now (IM). May it be Yahoo, Gtalk, Skype, MSN (arrrr Windows Live), ICQ or many others but one thing is persistent and even an icon for instant message age, the avatar.
The avatar is a image that represents you and makes you stand out from the other guys on your friend’s list. It can be a picture of you, a picture of your dog, even a picture of you and an alien on a different planet. More >
