The rumors for some time, before Android was out, were that Google will make their own operating system and bring it to public market, for free (open source). Well that was right for some part, Google got Android out, but only in the mobile devices market. Now the announcement is that google will be releasing a computer OS , Chrome OS is the name and will be based on the linux kernel. The project is too young and it’s too early to talk about more precise things, but Google OS is coming initially in the NetBook market next year. I’m sure more information will be available soon (by the end of this year)
